Alexander, Sheriff Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports that a joint investigation between the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police led to the arrest of a Flippin man in the death of Alisha Marie Gauger (white/female born August 8, 1982). The Sheriff stated deputies, and first responders were called to a residence on Marion County (MC) Road 7057 in April 2024, after receiving a call from Michael R. Moore, who stated he found Gauger unresponsive in their residence. Deputies responded to the residence and called for Investigators, who processed the scene and collected evidence that included drug paraphernalia and other items associated with the ingestion of illegal narcotics.

MOUNTAIN VIEW – The Ozark Folk Center State Park in Mountain View will host 11 music events, which include a total of 16 concerts at the park’s 1,000-seat indoor music venue, Ozark Highlands Theater, during their upcoming season April 15 through October 25, 2025. FAYETTEVILLE -- More than 2,000 students were named to the Fall 2024 Chancellor›s List in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas. To qualify for the Chancellor’s List, students must achieve at least a 4.00 gradepoint average for the semester while completing at least 12 credit hours.
