Harrison Colony Chapter, NSDAR

On Thursday, September 22, four Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) from the Harrison Colony Chapter, NSDAR, dressed in costumes and presented a program for the fifth and sixth graders at Bruno-Pyatt Elementary School to wrap up Constitution Week (Sept. 17-23). The students and DAR presenters enjoyed ringing their bells of freedom!

Backyard Conservation 2

As we continue to discuss conservation practices in our backyard that will add beauty and diversity, we continue from last week with more about wildlife habitat in our yards. We mentioned trees and shrubs that produce nuts and berries, which, we as humans might also get some benefit from, but how about the butterflies, hummingbirds and bees.

Ouachita’s enrollment growth

ARKADELPHIA – Enrollment continues to grow at Ouachita Baptist University, where a Fall 2022 headcount of 1,784 is the university’s highest in 56 years. Total enrollment, up 17.6 percent since 2016, includes a cohort of 445 first-time freshmen that has distinguished itself academically.
