Easter Sunrise Service, March 31 Julia Sharp, First Presbyterian Church Yellville The Yellville Community has enjoyed gathering for Holy Week Worship services for many years. Unfortunately, there are no early records, but the beginnings can be traced back to sometime in the early 1970s.

The Pine Mountain Volunteer Fire Department is holding a Gumbo Fest Fundraiser on Saturday, March 16 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be chicken and sausage gumbo, rice, potato salad, and bread pudding for dessert. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids.

Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 will again host its annual charity bowl-a-thon to benefit the Peitz Cancer Support House. The fun, family event will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Driftwood Lanes beginning at 12:00 p.m.
