Marion County Offices Closed
By Jason Stumph Please be advised the following departments will be closed for training purposes on Thursday, June 18 from 11:00 am to 1 pm. Departments will be open prior to and following the training: Road Department, Quarry, Transfer Station, Veteran Services Office, County Judge’s Office, Office of Emergency Management, Addressing, HR/Payroll and Comptroller.

On Wednesday, June 10, at 5:30 p.m. met to discuss a lease agreement for a Case WX140E Excavator, resolution to dispose of surplus property, resolution to hire Maintenance Technician and to appoint a Recorder, as stated on the agenda for a special meeting.

Wild, Wild Weather
In North Central Arkansas, NCA, over the weekend, tremendous amounts of rain fell from the sky. These storms washed roads out, flooded fields and other low-lying areas. These storms made travel hazardous across the NCA.
Marshfield man found dead
Marion County Sheriff Gregg Alexander reports the body of a missing person has been recovered from the Camp Galilee Cove area of Bull Shoals Lake on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at approximately 3:15 p.m. Sheriff Alexander reports the body is believed to be that of Caleb Blair, a twentyfive (25) year old white male, from Marshfield, Missouri.
