Billie Collins, CES 4-H/FCS Agent Marion County 4-H members recently attended the National FCS Championship and Conference in San Antonio, Texas placing 5th out of 9 teams from around the nation in the Consumer Decision Making contest. Consumer Decision Making (CDM) is a competitive 4-H event that teaches financial management, consumerism, and decisionmaking skills.

LITTLE ROCK – The freezing weather may have prevented citizens from appearing in person at three public hearings held by the Arkansas Broadband Office to gather input about plans to expand and improve Internet access in the state. However, there is still time to submit comments.

The Poets’ Roundtable of Arkansas is once again sponsoring its collegiate poetry contest. The 2024 Pat Laster Collegiate Poetry Contest is open to Arkansas residents, ages 18 to 25, who are attending Arkansas colleges during the submission period of January 1, 2024, through March 15, 2024.
