Recently, a cousin of mine, Patty Morris Abrams, shared on Facebook that her dad’s cousin, Jimmy “Driftwood” Morris, wrote the song The Battle of New Orleans. I commented that I’d once won second place in the Flippin School Talent Show performing that song, back when I was in grade school. Her post got me strolling down the proverbial memory lane, and here I share it with those of you who want to stroll along with me.

Hello all, I hope everyone is in good health and happy spirits! Fall is here and it is time to enjoy some outside time before the weather turns to bitter cold and ice. My family is doing really good, and we are rolling with the flow. My craft fair is coming up and I have been working hard to get everything organized and make sure I have plenty of items. I hope it is a good day for it and we have lots of people. I am really excited about how well my little side gig is going. So, everyone have a great week and As Always Remember the Little Things, they are what makes the world so happy.

National Assisted Living Week is the annual observance encourages assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinctive aspect of long term care.
