Harrison- The National Park Service (NPS) has released an Environmental Assessment (EA) that analyzes a county and state led effort to reconstruct and repave the 1.8-mile section of Cave Mountain Road (Newton County Road 9560) that crosses Buffalo National River’s Park boundaries. The proposed project is designed to reduce environmental impacts of the current road and improve access. It is funded by the State of Arkansas with the road work to be completed by the Newton County Roads Department.
Little Rock– Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge today announced the investigation into GoFundMe for potential violations of the Arkansas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (ADTPA). Supporters of the truckers’ protest against vaccine mandates in Ottawa, Canada, have donated more than $10 million dollars through the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe. Because the company disagrees with the protest, it recently announced that it would unilaterally end the fundraiser and either refund the money given by the donors or redirect those funds to other causes.
