The North Central Arkansas Military Service Sisters will be holding their August luncheon on Friday August 26 at 12 Noon. Location will be Chen’s Restaurant in Mountain Home on Highway 62.

The Turkey Trot 5K and Little Turkey 1 Mile are part of the Turkey Trot festival in mid-October, in Yellville. The run will be held on Saturday, October 15, at 7:30 a.m.

Results of experiment in small grain management completed during 1956 through 1960 have been released by the University of Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station. Grain yields of oats did not differ on seedbeds by plowing about July 8, August 8 or by disking September 8.
