Perhaps like some of y’all, each day that we get a bit warmer temperature, I want to grab hold and hang on! But I’ve also lived around here long enough to know winter isn’t over until it decides it’s over. In the meantime, we take comfort in imagining what those warmer Spring days will be like when they arrive. And for many of us, that means outside sports.
Oh Atticus! Wait, It’s Ewan McGregor
Hey, folks! My name is Atticus. I came to the Shelter in late October (do not tell anyone, but I even had a police escort, thanks to the Flippin Police Department). I was feeling kind of sad because I was very hungry, and my skin was badly infected. I did not know what I was going to do. But the officer brought me to HAH and the nice people here have gotten me all fixed up. I’m now in excellent health (amazing what regular meals will do for ya!). I heard the volunteers say I walk well on a leash, I am housebroken, and I love all the volunteers! I am kind of a lady’s man...I get along well with the female dogs, but I am not at all crazy about other males (especially if they are intact). The folks at the Shelter think I am a lab and terrier mix, and I currently weigh around 65 pounds. Would you like to get to know me?

Arkansas Weekly Gas Price Update
Average gasoline prices in Arkansas have risen 13.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.94/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations in Arkansas. Prices in Arkansas are 15.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 4.2 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 2.1 cents in the last week and stands at $4.64 per gallon.
Treasurer Dennis Milligan Releases Final Investment Report of Tenure
Little Rock – The State Treasury earned nearly $100 million in the first six months of fiscal year 2023, Treasurer Dennis Milligan announced today in his final investment report of his tenure. Milligan takes office on Tuesday as Auditor of State.
HAH Year End Report
Year-end numbers are in for Have-A-Heart Pet Shelter. What a year 2022 was! In those twelve months, our all-volunteer organization took in or rescued 641 dogs and 192 cats for a total of 833 animals! We processed adoptions for 134 dogs and 187 cats for a total of 321.
