Pasture Recovery after drought
Some Options for restoring grass after drought are 1. Allow forage to recover as is. 2. Try to thicken the thin pastures with more of the same species. 3.Add annual forage or legumes to thin fields. 4. Renovate damaged pastures by converting them to other forages.
Moose Lodge hosts turkey dinner
The women of Mountain Home Moose Lodge will hold a turkey dinner fundraiser this coming Friday, November 8, from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The menu includes scrumptious roast turkey with all the fixin’s.
Cattlemen’s Potluck Dinner
The 18th annual November potluck dinner meeting of the Marion County Cattlemen’s Association will be held Thursday, November 14, at 6:30 in the old Yellville-Summit cafeteria. Meat, drinks, and paper goods will be provided.
Boozman Convenes 2024-25 Arkansas Congressional Youth Cabinet
LITTLE ROCK –– U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) launched the eighth year of his Congressional Youth Cabinet on Tuesday at the Old Statehouse Museum in Little Rock. The meeting brought together 114 high school juniors who were selected from public, private, charter and homeschool students across the state for their involvement and leadership in their communities.

The North Central Arkansas Veterans Council is again Sponsoring the Annual Veterans Day Commemoration at Veterans Plaza 2000 In Mountain Home. This year it will take place on Monday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. The host organization is United States Submarine Veterans Twin Lakes Base, Curtis Grant Commander.
