Irish Dinner Fundraiser

Marion County Community Services (MCCS, Inc.) recently had a successful Irish Dinner at the Fairgrounds to raise funds for the Marion County Community Center Project. We are lucky to have the support of so many donors and over 80 in attendance and want to thank you!

MCBC to meet

The Marion County Budget Committee will meet on Thursday, March 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the annex. Agenda items will include a cyber security presentation and cleaning up some line items in the 2022 budget. The public is invited to attend.

The Gamma Eta Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Arkansas State Organization received the Education Foundation Grant for $500. The grant, “Books for Good Health”, will provide over 600 books to the Marion County Health Unit.

I remember my first Forsythia, my grandfather Doyel noticed me admiring all his shrubs and he went over and took his pocket knife out and cut me off a stem of it and gave it to me and told me to go home and break up a little ground and lay the stem down and cover it just enough so it would stay.
