Roadrunner Fast Facts for this Bird
The Roadrunner is a small group of speedy birds in the taxonomic genus Geococcyx. They are members of the cuckoo, or Cuculidae, family. There are two species of these birds, the Greater Roadrunner, and the Lesser Roadrunner. These birds live in the southern United States, Mexico, and parts of Central America.

The weight of grief . .
It’s easier to say we are in physical pain than to say, “My heart is breaking.” Everywhere you look as you go about your lives in town there are people all around you who are experiencing the ravaging effects of grief or worry. It’s the people you shop among at the 10Box and General Dollar store, your friends, work colleagues, social media acquaintances, and for some, the people you may see sitting at your dining table. It could be you. Life is challenging and attempts to break us down sometimes and nothing and no one can protect us from this reality.

We will continue, with the second of three articles, to talk about the benefits of prescribed fire this week. The thought has been by many people for many years that fire is a bad thing. If used as a tool and held in control it can add many beneficial characteristics to your property. Here are a few more benefits that prescribed fire can bring.

No Danged Luck
When I am fishing in February and March, I like water just a little bit above normal, with not so much mud in it, or floating debris. I like it green colored and gently flowing, enough so that the boat doesn’t drag on the shoals, and I want it to stay right where it is until all the walleye and bass and crappie have brought forth a good spawn. This time of year, I would rather be somewhere listening to spring peepers, intent on seeing my topwater lure slurped under and my rod bent to the breaking point by a white bass or hybrid.
Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas to sponsor 2022 State Spelling Bee
Little Rock- For the third year, the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas will sponsor the Arkansas State Spelling Bee. The event will be held on Saturday, March 5 at the Arkansas 4-H Center in Little Rock. Due to adherence to current pandemic protocols, it will be closed to the public.
