HARRISON - Four Scouts and three adult Scouters from the Ozark District recently attended the 2026 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. The Ozark District of the Natural State Council is comprised of Scout units in Baxter, Boone, Carroll, Marion, Newton, and Searcy Counties.

BH Hosts Free Community Event on Suicide Awareness and Prevention
MOUNTAIN HOME — Baxter Health Behavioral Health is hosting a free community event on Saturday, September 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Vada Sheid Community Development Center, located at 1600 S. College Street on the ASU-Mountain Home campus. The event, titled “It’s a Tough Subject: A Conversation About Suicide,” is open to the public and requires no registration.
