On April 2, 2024, the world lost a remarkable soul with the passing of Jane Lynn Reed. Jane was born on June 25, 1949, in Olathe, Kansas, the daughter of Leo and Ruth Ann Sawyer.

Jane led a fulfilling life, which included working as a supervisor at an electronics company, where she dedicated herself with passion and commitment. Her work ethic and kindness touched the lives of those around her. Described as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Jane’s family meant everything to her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lavern Reed of Gamaliel; daughters: Penny Drennan of Edgerton, Kansas, and Kim Spotswood of Missouri; stepmother to Tracy Reed of Olathe, Kansas and Chris Reed of Edgerton, Kansas. She was a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren plus a host of relatives and friends who will forever treasure her memory.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

A visitation will be held on April 6, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the Bakersfield Full Gospel Church. A Funeral Service will follow, at the church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Tom Stephens officiating.

The Graveside Service will take place at the Bean Cemetery in Gamaliel, Arkansas, with Brad and Bailey Drennan, Holly Shinkle and Tracy Reed, Chris Reed, Ryan Reed, Zach Ault, pallbearers.

Jane Lynn Reed’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing she was cherished and adored by many.

Memorials may be made to Bakersfield Full Gospel Church.
