Deanna Fox of Bull Shoals

On Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., we gather at the Bull Shoals Methodist Church to honor the life of Deanna “Dee” Arlene Fox, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Reverend Randy Ludwig will lead us in this celebration of Dee’s remarkable journey.

Dee was born on March 16, 1937, in Joliet, Illinois, to Gildo and Genevieve Boyd Spina. On June 9, 1956, she married the love of her life, Robert Fredrick Fox. Together, they embarked on a journey filled with love, adventure, and dedication.

During Bob’s service in the Marine Reserves, Dee worked tirelessly at the Joliet Arsenal of Illinois.

Their family grew with the arrival of their children, Wade, Chris, and Amy. Although hesitant about leaving Illinois, Dee courageously embraced the opportunity to move to Arkansas.

Together with Bob, they invested in Coral Courts Resort and co-founded Bull Shoals Lanes, later expanding to include the 178 Club restaurant. Their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to their community forged lasting bonds.

In retirement, Dee found solace and joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dee loved to read recipe books and she continued to look for the next best recipe for Wade to prepare for her and he did so.

Dee’s legacy lives on through her children: Wade (Vickie) Fox; Chris (Tabby) Fox; and Amy (Kenzie) Parnell; brother, James Spina; her grandchildren: Skyler, Seth & Zackery Fox, Laiken Fox, Faith Parnell, Anna, Doug, Kristin & Taylor; and greatgrandchild, Ruth Calvert.

Dee is preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; brother, David Spina; and grandson, Tyler Bentley Fox.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks or the Bull Shoals Methodist Church.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services – Bull Shoals, Arkansas. To share condolences and memories, please visit Dee’s online obituary and guestbook at www.kirbyandfamily.com
